Description
Sparkle Caddis Pupa
The Sparkle Caddis Pupa fly pattern is a great caddis emerger pattern. It is credited to Gary LaFontaine who created it in the 1980’s and today, it continues to be an angler’s favorite. It’s success lies mainly in the “gas bubble” of sparkle yarn over the body. This bubble traps air in a similar way that a natural caddis nymph does while making it’s way to the water surface. And the big trout take advantage of this vulnerability stage for the caddis fly to snap them up.
Having this fly in several colors will ensure a successful fishing trip.
